Caitlin Clark absurdly received her eighth technical foul.
Going into Saturday’s game against the Sky, Clark had seven technical fouls, meaning if she got another one she would be suspended.
Unfortunately, Clark was given a technical foul during the game after accidentally bumping into a ref.

Fans, including Dave Portnoy, ripped into the WNBA over the technical.
Imagine treating the most important, impactful, influential woman’s basketball player ever like a piece of shit. Insane disrespect.
By the way shes got 25 and 9 assists and is 5/6 from 3. And they HATE her for it #freecaitlin https://t.co/RP8QdnnocJ

After the game, Clark reiterated that she did not mean to bump into the ref, and hopes the WNBA will rescind the technical and allow her to play on Tuesday.
“She said I ran into her, I’ve already watched the tape, we’ll let the league decide…It wasn’t intentional, nothing was said, so I’m hoping it’s getting rescinded.”

Update: The ref accused Clark of intentionally hitting her.
Caitlin Clark and Stephanie White say the ref accused Clark of intentionally hitting her with a forearm.
If the ref truly believed it was intentional, why wasn’t Clark ejected? 🤔
These refs are straight up lying 😭 pic.twitter.com/W5GzdXUKje
