Report: Tim Tebow Chose The Mets Because They Were The Only Team To Allow Him To Keep His TV Job At ESPN

Earlier today, the NY Mets signed Tim Tebow to a minor league contract but playing baseball in the minors won’t stop Tebow from working at ESPN during the College Football season on Saturdays.

According to Colin Cowherd of Fox Sports, Tebow had several offers on the table to play baseball but chose the Mets because they were the only team that allowed him to keep his gig at ESPN.

“Ten teams offered Tim Tebow a contract,”“You’re hearing it here first. Ten teams were interested in Tim Tebow. Only one team, the New York Mets, were willing to let Tebow also do some television work.”

It’s probably a good idea for Tebow to keep his day job just in case this baseball thing doesn’t work out.
