Wrestling legend Ric Flair has addressed his belligerent behavior that was caught on video and got him kicked out of a restaurant in Gainesville.

In video that went viral on the internet on Tuesday, Ric Flair was seen and heard getting into it with employees at Piesanos Stone Fire Pizza in Gainesville. Flair was in town to attend graduation ceremonies at the University of Florida.

He claimed on social media that he spent $1,500 in the restaurant only to “be disrespected more than I ever have in my entire life.”

Flair claimed that despite “taking 20 pictures with customers and staff” he was asked to leave because of an issue he “had with the kitchen manager taking too long in the bathroom.”

No, none of this makes any sense. And neither did the video of the 75-year-old Ric Flair almost getting into a physical altercation with restaurant staff.

On Wednesday, Flair appeared on The MJ Morning Show and addressed the incident.

“All I can tell you is this,” Ric Flair began. “I had a disagreement with apparently a kitchen employee in the bathroom. Which no one was around, just me and him and I, um, remember when I almost died in 2017?

“So I have obviously, my intestinal, my body works differently now.”

Flair was then asked about the video of the confrontation he had with what appeared to be the bartender that went viral.

“No, the two people that were tending bar were very nice. I gave them a $1,000 tip,” Flair claimed.

“It was the two people by that I had not met prior, coming out of the bathroom. They just descended on me, telling me that I was out of line and I said, ‘well how would you even know, you weren’t in there?’

“And then it just escalated and I was wrong for getting mad, but I kind of felt like I was defending my position. I’m with my wife and my stepdaughter who’s got a degree in criminology and is going to work for the FBI and they came on so strong that she got scared and ran out the door.”

Ric Flair was then asked if he still wants people to avoid the restaurant, as he strongly suggested on social media on Tuesday.

“I ordered food to go from Paisanos at 6 o’clock and they delivered it,” he replied, adding, “They actually had great food.”

So all’s well that ends well, it sounds like.

After the incident, the manager of a sister Paisanos restaurant wrote on X (Twitter) that “Mr. Flair was being drunk and disorderly.”

Flair denied that he was drunk to The MJ Morning Show, saying he only had Michelob Ultras and “probably” two mixed drinks.

Believe it or not?
