Few golfers are as brave as Rickie Fowler. The 25-year-old wears things on the course a normal person wouldn’t wear to a costume party. And that’s part of what makes him so well-liked. It’s almost as if self-marketing is part of the modern sporting landscape or something.
Fowler recently cut off a significant portion of his trademark lettuce, but found a way to make up for it by shaving bold-faced patriotism into his scalp in advance of the Ryder Cup, which begins Friday in Scotland.
Take that, Europeans! Now you’ll have to be reminded who you’re playing against this weekend — you know, if Fowler doesn’t wear a hat.
