Rob Gronkowski is one of the most treasured icons in the sporting world. Not only is he a future Hall of Famer, but he’s a well-known partier as well.
So, of course, Gronkowski has a hilarious story about his pre-draft visit with the New England Patriots.
Apparently, he was so incredibly hungover, that he completely bombed his visit with the team. Here he is detailing the story during an appearance on the Trading Secrets Podcast.

After all of that, Bill Belichick and the Patriots still selected Rob Gronkowski. And luckily they did because clearly, it was a great decision.
So, he went from having a disaster visit with New England to eventually becoming one of the best tight ends in NFL history while playing for them.
Rob Gronkowski is just a different breed of human. Obviously, Belichick and the front office liked what they saw on the tape, as his interview didn’t help much.
During his time in New England, Rob Gronkowski accumulated 521 receptions, 7,861 receiving yards, and 79 touchdowns. He’s been one of Tom Brady’s favorite targets over the years.
Now he’s on the Fox team as an analyst and he hopes to reunite with Brady again on TV.
