The New York Giants made a big trade this offseason after acquiring Darren Waller from the Las Vegas Raiders.

He’s in line to be a top target for the offense and it appears Rob Gronkowski expects big things from the veteran tight end.

During a guest appearance on the Up and Adams show, Gronkowski made a bold prediction for Waller.

In fact, it sounds like the future Hall of Famer thinks the Giants coaching staff is going to utilize Darren Waller early and often throughout the 2023 season.

Here’s what he had to say during his discussion with Kay Adams.

According to Gronkowski, Brian Daboll “loves to use tight ends.” If you look at Daboll’s coaching history, the math adds up.

So now the Giants’ head coach has a superstar talent at tight end in Darren Waller. Additionally, New York’s wide receiver core isn’t all that great. For that reason, it’s kind of easy to agree with Rob Gronkowsi’s take.

After having a surprisingly successful season, the Giants aim to continue their success with a playoff appearance in 2023.

Acquiring Waller was a great step in that direction, as he’ll likely serve as one of the top options outside of Saquon Barkley.

Rob Gronkowski thinks very highly of Daboll, as well as Darren Waller. With that said, it appears the multi-Super Bowl-winning tight end loves what he’s seeing in New York.

We’ll see how the season plays out for them, as the NFC East has become incredibly competitive.

The Philadelphia Eagles aim for another Super Bowl appearance, the Dallas Cowboys have a stacked roster, and the Washington Commanders are steadily improving.

It’ll be a tough journey for the Giants, but with Darren Waller on the roster now, anything is possible.
