It looks like there may be some beef developing between the New York Jets and Denver Broncos.

USA Today released an interview with Sean Payton earlier today where he was not afraid to share his true feelings on a few interesting topics.

The comment that has gotten a lot of attention today was him placing the blame on Nathaniel Hackett for the failures of the Broncos last season, calling it “one of the worst coaching jobs in the history of the NFL“.

That by itself might have been enough to rile up some Jets players and coaches as Hackett is now the team’s offensive coordinator.

However, Payton wasn’t done there.

He proceeded to compare all of the hype that last year’s Broncos had entering the season to the Jets this year and that there could be a similar outcome on the way for the Jets.

“We’re not doing any of that. The Jets did that this year. You watch. ‘Hard Knocks,’ all of it. I can see it coming.”

Following that comment, Jets head coach Robert Saleh fired back at Sean Payton.

“If you ain’t got no haters, you ain’t popping,” Saleh said. “So hate away. Obviously we’re doing something right if you’ve gotta talk about us when we don’t play you until Week 4.”

Fans actually have to wait until Week 5 to see this matchup, but there could be plenty of reason to tune in by then.

The game will pit last year’s hype train against this year’s and will give fans a chance to see which team is actually worth the hype.

Expectations are high for the New York Jets, who are looking to make their first playoff appearance since 2010.

Robert Saleh and the New York Jets face an absolutely brutal stretch to start the season and a win in Denver could mean lot for the franchise early in the season.
