Washington WR Rome Odunze was one of the nation’s most exciting players in 2023, helping the Huskies reach the national championship game.

The wideout out tallied 1,640 receiving yards to pace the NCAA, seemingly cementing himself as a sure-fire first-round NFL Draft pick.

That could change thanks to the comments of a few mean Oregon fans.

Odunze joined a Ducks X spaces conversation on Wednesday night, sparking a reaction from those on the call. Those UO fans immediately called the pass catcher out for dialing in.

“Alright, brother, we’re tired of you catching passes, it’s time for you to go!” one member said.

“Take your a– to the NFL,” another followed.

Odunze then threatened them with maybe their worst football nightmare – a return to Washington.

“Y’all better be nice to me, I might come back for another year just to do it,” the receiver responded.

The Huskies were a thorn in the side Oregon this past season, taking down the Ducks twice to rip away any PAC12 or CFP title hopes. Odunze was a big reason why, combining for 16 catches, 230 yards, and a pair of touchdowns in those meetings.

CBS Sports lists Rome Odunze as the second-best wideout in the NFL Draft class behind Marvin Harrison Jr. He also holds Top 10 status with the mock draft seeing him come off the board at No. 7 overall.

At 6’3″ and 215 pounds, he boasts prototypical size for the next level. Combined with his skillset and college production, he could develop into one of the most explosive players in this year’s class.

That is, if he doesn’t come back to haunt the Oregon Ducks!
