As everyone knows by now, former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has officially signed to wrestle for WWE after making a surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble in January.

Since then we haven’t heard much about Rousey or when she will be making her WWE debut other than the fact that some of the women wrestlers on the roster weren’t totally thrilled (maybe) with her stealing their spotlight.

However, now we know that Ronda Rousey’s WWE debut will take place at Elimination Chamber on February 25th. Apparently she will only be there to “officially” sign her WWE Raw contract. But we know how those contract signings go, don’t we, wrestling fans?

Basically, whatever happens during her “contract signing” at Elimination Chamber will clue everyone in as to what he first real wrestling role will be come WrestleMania 34.

As such, WWE has finally released some footage of Rousey training for her professional wrestling debut. Current Smackdown Live champion Charlotte Flair even doles out some compliments to Rousey in the new video, saying, “What makes Ronda Rousey so special is she’s an attraction. She’s a star. It’s just her toughness. She oozes confidence.”

I hope she does, because the last time we saw Rousey competing inside a combat arena she looked like this…

So is there any way Rousey lives up to the hype WWE is building for her? I don’t know, but it’s certainly should be fun to watch. At least until Gronk signs with the WWE.
