Earlier this week, Patrick and Brittany Mahomes announced the birth of their third child, a daughter named “Golden Raye Mahomes.” The Mahomes’ first two kids, aged 3 and 2, are named Sterling Skye and Patrick ‘Bronze’ Mahomes, respectively.

The metal name theme isn’t only limited to their children, as it extends to their fur babies, as well, as the couple’s dogs are named Steel and Silver.

Taking a playful shot at Mahomes on Twitter, former NFL quarterback and currently Prime Video analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick pointed out that they’re “running out of precious metals” to name their kids and that he feels bad for whichever kid will be named “Bronze.”

“I agree with Andy’s assessment but the issue for the Mahomies isn’t having more it’s the fact that they are running out of precious metals to name their kids. I feel bad for Bronze,” Fitzpatrick tweeted.

Since becoming an NFL analyst for Prime Video, Fitzpatrick certainly hasn’t been shy about taking shots at active QBs, resulting in some awkward moments with the likes of Jared Goff and Aaron Rodgers on set.

Mahomes and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs will beginning their 2024 postseason this weekend when they host the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round on Saturday, January 18 at 4:30 p.m. EST. Since joining the Chiefs, who are favored by nine points heading into Sunday’s game, Mahomes has never lost in the Divisional Round of the playoffs as he’s got a record of 6-0 at that stage of the postseason.

The Chiefs are seeking to win their third-straight Super Bowl title, which would make them the first team in NFL history to accomplish the feat.
