In a post-game after the Jacksonville Jaguars snagged a 31-24 win over the New Orleans Saints, Safety Rayshawn Jenkins didn’t hold back on his take about Saints quarterback Derek Carr.

Jenkins said, “We know that’s Derek Carr’s game. He’s gonna check down, check down, check down.

Jenkins laid out the game plan for the Jaguars’ defense, stating, “We just have to win the game down the field, and that was the mindset of the DBs. We’ll let him have the check-downs, we’ll come up, rally, tackle that, and get rid of the shot plays.”

For the Saints, their leading receiver turned out to be running back Alvin Kamara, who hauled in 12 catches for 91 yards, which suggests a confirmation to Jenkins claims.

While the Saints managed to find their offensive groove late in the game, it was mostly smooth sailing for the Jaguars’ defense. Carr completed just one pass that gained more than 20 yards, a short toss to Kamara in the second quarter that went for 21.

Now, the Saints find themselves with a 3-4 record for the season, struggling to put points on the board. They’ve only exceeded the 20-point mark twice this season, leaving the question of where they go from here up in the air.
