Saquon Barkley only got to experience a single winning season during his time with the Giants, and his daughter inadvertently roasted his former franchise over those shortcomings after finding out her dad had signed with the Eagles.

In 2018, the New York Giants used the second overall pick they’d received as a consolation prize for finishing with a 3-13 record the previous season to draft Saquon Barkley, who’d made quite a name for himself during his three years as a running back at Penn State.

Barkley didn’t waste any time making a mark with his new team, as he earned Offensive Rookie of the Year honors on the back of the more than 1,300 yards he racked up on the ground during his inaugural campaign.

The RB arrived in New York a year before the Giants made the decision to hand the reins to Daniel Jones after the Eli Manning Era came to an end, and while Barkley did what he could to contribute on offense, the team struggled to find its footing.

The Giants did manage to make the playoffs after going 9-7 in 2022, which preceded an offseason where Barkley and the franchise engaged in a somewhat contentious contract negotiation.

He eventually inked a one-year deal after having the franchise tag slapped on him, and while he made it clear he was still interested in playing for the Giants after a disappointing 6-11 showing last season, he ultimately opted for a fresh start with their NFC East rivals after the Philadelphia Eagles signed him to a three-year contract worth more than $37 million.

The Eagles went 12-3 against the Giants during the RB’s time with his former team, and based on what Barkley had to say about his decision to head to Philly, his five-year-old daughter Jada was apparently very aware of the current one-sided nature of the rivalry when you consider she asked him “Does that mean we’re going to win now?” after hearing the news.

Boom roasted.
