Saquon Barkley played just one snap in the 2nd half against the Titans on Sunday
Saquon Barkley barely played against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday due to an injury. He played just enough, however, to make sure that all bets on him would count.
During the Philadelphia Eagles’ 24-20 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 2, Pro Bowl running back Saquon Barkley played just 12 snaps. 11 of those snaps, however, came in the first half. It was the 12th snap in the second half, however, that has NFL fans suspicious of the league and its sportsbook partners.

Most sportsbooks have some kind of clause/promotion that voids prop bets if a player misses the second half of a game with an injury — DraftKings calls it Early Exit, FanDuel calls it BetProtect, Caesars calls it Injury Protection, and so on.
A single snap in the second half, however, would nullify those bettor protections, which is exactly what happened with Barkley.
Bold prediction: Barkley comes in for one play in the second half at fanduels request to cancel out the injury protection. He will end the game with 2 carries for 1 yard and all bets will stand.

“Saquon Barkley was put back in just so tickets wouldn’t void. Absolutely unbelievable,” one viral tweet suggested.
“Saquon checks in for 1 play the 2nd half after not checking back in at all the 1st half lmao Vegas don’t even try n hide it anymore this s— is sad asf fr,” a second concurred.
“So did Saquon come in 2nd half just to ruin rescues and back out of game?” a third asked.

Coincidentally, Barkley was the most-bet TD scorer on the NFL slate yesterday, meaning the sportsbooks had an incentive not to see Barkley play in the second half of the game.
As for what Barkley’s injury even was, it was described as the Eagles as being a “stinger.” On Monday, head coach Nick Sirianni said that he doesn’t have an update, after telling the media after the game that he’s “alright.”
