The best golfer in the world right now, Scottie Scheffler, was the latest guest on Bob Does Sports with Robby Berger. To say that there is a valley between the skill levels of Scottie and former BroBible blogger/vlogger Robby Berger would be the understatement of the century, and that’s particularly what makes this latest episode so great.

The second I saw Bob duff his tee shot off the first tee I knew it was going to be a great episode. Then around 10:30 into the action my ears perked up when I saw Bob lean in and ask Scottie Scheffler about jail.

Scottie Scheffler Tells Robby Berger and Bob Does Sports About His Time In Jail

One thing I particularly love about this question from Bob is how he lowers his voice and leans in, almost as if he’s trying to whisper the question from the outside world, while it’s just him and Scottie riding in a golf cart. Who are you trying to shield the conversation from here, Bob? It’s all going on video anyway!

It starts with Robby saying “you know what I did want to ask you, and I know it’s all the time that you get asked this, but when you’re sitting in jail (*Scottie laughs*), were you thinking to yourself this is going to be the biggest story? Did you realize how big of a story it was going to be or was there a thought that maybe it didn’t leak?

Scottie seemed to have his answer locked and loaded. He responded with “so, when I was sitting in the cell, they put me in like a holding cell, I think. So I’m in a cell by myself and that was the cell that I stretched in.

Scheffler continued, telling Robby Berger “but if you want to the front of the cell and looked out that way [gestures right] I could see a TV and I saw myself on the TV. So that’s when I was like ‘holy smokes.’ Because at first my head is still spinning like ‘how the heck am I in here?’ but then I saw myself on the TV, then I saw that they delayed it, and I was like ‘oh, maybe I’ll get out of here in time and I can still play.

Scottie and Robby Talk Jail

Here is that moment from the latest episode of Bob Does Sports with Scottie Scheffler, the #1 golfer in the world, and Robby Berger, former BroBible writer with legendary hits such as ‘If You Thought Your 2020 Was Bad, Get A Load Of What Supercuts Did To This Man’s Head‘ and ‘27-Year-Old Man Plays ‘Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?’ And The Results Were Extremely Alarming.

Perhaps my biggest regret from the year 2024 is selling my tickets to the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club for Friday, May 17, 2024. I would have been there bright eyed and bushy tailed before the crack of dawn at the exact moment an overzealous officer was hauling Scottie Scheffler away in handcuffs for second-degree assault of a police officer (and 3 misdemeanors), all of which would be dropped days later on May 29h by the Louisville Metro Police Department.

But I sold my tickets to a friend (at a loss) and missed the fireworks. SO the moral of the story here is if you buy the tickets, go to the show. Find a way. Don’t let complicated travel logistics get in the way of you living your best life this Summer.

Side note, if you are a fan of Bob and Bod Does Sports he is absolutely KILLING IT on Cameo these days. Go check him out if you want to send a personalized message to someone in your life.
