Fans Joke That One Opening Day Decision Will Make Russell Wilson Thankful He’s No Longer A Seahawk

The Denver Broncos open the 2022 season against the Seahawks in a huge Monday night showdown. That matchup will signal Russell Wilson’s return to Seattle after being traded to Denver over the offseason.

The Broncos wasted no time in locking him up to a long-term deal, giving the passer an extension this preseason. As for Seattle, they’ll likely see a Geno Smith and Drew Lock battle for the starting role as the season wears on. It appears that Smith has the upper hand and will get that Week 1 call under center.

While the Seahawks’ depth chart might be a bit uncertain, they have made one emphatic decision regarding the season opener. They’ll wear their “Action Green” alternative uniforms.

Many have dubbed the highlighter green fits the worst uniform combo in the NFL. And upon seeing them, Russell Wilson might be happy he’s no longer playing in Seattle.

Fans roast Seahawks for season opening uniform choice

NFL fans were quick to react to seeing the Seahawks’ uniform choice. The overwhelming majority think the all-green get ups are hideous.

One person says, “Ugliest uniforms in the league.”

Another asks, “With the sucky season we are about to endure, can we at least have a moratorium on being visually assaulted by these HORRENDOUS uniforms?”

One Seahawks fans said, “When will the day come where I never have to watch my team play in these again?”

Another thinks Russell Wilson will be glad he’s on the opposing sideline on this visit to Seattle. “Russ is gonna be on the other sideline making fun of these hideous unis.”

We’ll see if the uniform decision will help rile up the Seattle players and fanbase. Or at least distract their opponent for a bit. That might be the best chance the Seahawks have of defeating Wilson and the Broncos.
