Best Minor League Hockey Team on Earth to Wear Puffy Shirt Jerseys

But I don’t want to be a pirate!

From this point on, we’re all Bakersfield Condors fans. Well, those of us with good taste are Bakersfield Condors fans.

The Edmonton Oilers’ farm team has decided to wear these spectacular uniforms on Nov. 16 as a homage to one of the better Seinfeld episodes to ever air.

They are both fashion-forward and a look back at a simpler time when Bryant Gumbel and his unique voice were hosting the Today Show.

You see, Seinfeld debuted 25 years ago and all press is good press for minor-league sporting franchises. If you need better reasons than that, my friend, I have nothing for you.

The name bars will feature characters from the show instead of the players’ actual surnames. 20 names confirmed for the evening:

Jerry, George, Kramer, Newman, Frank Costanza, Puddy, J. Peterman, Steinbrenner, Morty Seinfeld, Uncle Leo, Art Vandelay, Kenny Bania, Lloyd Braun, Jackie Chiles, Crazy Joe Davola, Mandelbaum, Bubble Boy, Keith Hernandez, Mickey Abbott, Assman

Suggestions for the “final five” names (must be related to the show) on the jerseys are now being accepted on the team’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. Or you can email them tocondors@bakersfieldcondors.com and your suggestions may just end up on a sweater!

/Books flight to California, has no regrets.
