With the NBA Finals officially over, Shannon Sharpe makes his final appearance on Undisputed with Skip Bayless.

Sharpe reached an agreement with FOX to buyout his contract. Rumors are that his relationship with Bayless played a role in his decision to leave.

However, on Tuesday, something happened that nobody really saw coming. Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless shed tears as Sharpe thanks Bayless for the opportunity to work alongside him.

It was a rather emotional scene, as they each shared words with each other over Sharpe’s time on the show. It was surprising to see considering the recent rumors.

Here is where the NFL Hall of Famer starts crying in the middle of thanking his now former co-host.

And Skip Bayless shared his emotional response.

Sharpe even brought his daughter on set, as he shared his thanks with his family as well.

Shannon Sharpe first got the job on Undisputed seven years ago and has since then earned quite the following in the sports media world.

He did a great job bantering with Bayless, but Sharpe is ready to move on to bigger and better things.

Despite his emotional farewell, sports fans just aren’t entirely sure how to react. Many question if this whole scene is even real or not.

This guy thinks Sharpe deserves an Oscar.

On the other hand, it is cool to see that these two have mutual respect for one another.

As of now, it’s not entirely clear what Shannon Sharpe or Skip Bayless are going to do next.

Sharpe has hinted at a new show, but nobody is sure what it’s about. Meanwhile, it sounds like Bayless will remain on Undisputed and work alongside a new co-host.
