Despite now being on the air for close to 35 years, Inside The NBA remains at the height of its powers thanks to the antics of Chuck, Shaq, and the rest of the gang.

The latest example of Inside The NBA’s unique alchemy came on Wednesday night during TNT’s broadcast of Game 2 in the Celtics-76ers series, as Shaq absolutely laid out Charles Barkley — who is no spring chicken at 60 years old.

After toying with the idea of retirement in recent years, Barkley and the rest of the Inside The NBA crew signed new contracts back in October of last year, with Barkley even signing a 10-year extension.

“We’re all a big family — Ernie, Kenny and Shaquille are brothers to me — and I wouldn’t still be here if it wasn’t for them and all the amazing people who work on our show,” Barkley said in an official statement after signing the contract extension.

“I’m not gonna lie, though, this is a life-altering deal … and I’m blessed to be able to do live television for a living.”

As for the game between Boston and Philadelphia, the Celtics were able to tie up the series at one game each thanks to a blowout 121-87 victory over the 76ers, which was spurred on by a game-high 25 points from Jaylen Brown.

Barkley, Shaq, and the rest of the Inside The NBA crew will next be on the air on Sunday night for the broadcast of Game 4 between the Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets. They’ll also be on the air on Monday night for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals between the New York Knicks and Miami Heat, and Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors.

Unfortunately for basketball fans, though, TNT doesn’t have the broadcasting rights to the NBA Finals, so the final appearance for the Inside The NBA team this season will be during the Conference Finals.
