Shedeur Sanders And Travis Hunter Get In Scuffle At Colorado Football Facility

The Colorado Buffaloes have badly missed superstar corner and wide receiver Travis Hunter the last few weeks.

Hunter left the Buffs’ Week 3 victory over Colorado State after suffering a lacerated liver and missed each of the last three games.

Colorado is just 1-2 in that stretch and perhaps nobody has missed Hunter more than star quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Sanders went from passing for 417 yards per game in with Hunter in the lineup to just 256 without him.

When the star sophomore will return is anyone’s guess. But Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders isn’t taking any risks with his long-term health.

“I need to play this week. We need to get everything we can so I can get back on the field, I’m not taking no for answer,” Sanders said that Hunter texted him following Colorado’s blowout loss to Oregon in Week 4.

“No. You ain’t ready and I care about you more than I care about this game,” Sanders claims he responded to the text. “You’re gonna change the game of football one day when you’re healthy and ready. Your future is brighter than mine ever will be and ever was. Relax and get healthy. I love you, son.”

The good news is Hunter has continued to make progress in recent weeks and is back in Colorado’s football facility.

The bad news is that his uncertain status has Shedeur Sanders a little fired up.

The latest video from Well Off Media documenting Colorado’s season shows Sanders confronting Hunter when he returns to the Buffaloes facility and asking him if he plans to play in Week 7 against Stanford.

“You playing, bro? Sanders asks at the 5:45 mark of the video.

“No, bro,” Hunter asks.

Sanders then asks when he’s playing again and asks why Hunter is there if he’s not playing before grabbing by the jersey and pushing him down into a chair.

Now, it’s the clear two friends were just playing around, to clarify.

But you can imagine Sanders is getting pretty antsy to have Hunter back out there catching the ball from him.
