Shedeur Sanders has reacted to falling out of the first round of the NFL draft. On Thursday, many expected the Pittsburgh Steelers to draft Sanders, but they chose to path on the Buffs’ star.
The New York Giants would later trade up for the 25th pick, but they also passed on Sanders and drafted Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart instead.
After the first round of the draft, Sanders spoke to friends and family at his lavish draft party in Texas.
“We all didn’t expect this, of course, but I feel like with God, anything is possible, everything is possible,” Sanders stated. “I don’t feel like this happened for no reason. All this is, of course, is fuel to the fire. And under no circumstances, we all know this shouldn’t have happened. But we understand we’re on to bigger and better things. Tomorrow’s the day, and we’re going to be happy regardless.”

There is a decent chance that Sanders will not be drafted in the second round.
Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders did not get selected in Thursday night’s first round.
Heading into round two Friday night, as @EpKap notes, there has been only one quarterback drafted in the second round in the last three years combined — Will Levis in 2023.
