A Sizable Betting Favorite To Land DeAndre Hopkins Has Emerged

Since DeAndre Hopkins became a free agent earlier this offseason, there have been two main teams that have been actively working on signing him.

Those two teams are the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans, who have both had him in for visits and made him offers.

Over the course of his free agency, the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs have also been linked to the former All-Pro receiver.

Although all 4 of those teams still appear to be interested in landing Hopkins, there is one team that has separated themselves from the pack in the betting odds to sign him.

DraftKings Sportsbook currently has the Titans listed as a -300 favorite to sign Hopkins.

This big change comes shortly after it was reported that Hopkins is waiting to see if the Kansas City Chiefs get a contract extension worked out with Chris Jones that will open up cap space for them to make Hopkins an offer.

In spite of that news, it seems DraftKings is pretty confident that the Titans will finally get some reinforcements for their wide receiver room.

It is something they have badly needed since they traded AJ Brown last offseason.

During the 2022 season, their passing game was led by Robert Woods and Treylon Burks, but Burks struggled with injuries in his rookie season.

Now Woods is gone and the team hasn’t brought in a replacement, which has put a lot of pressure on Burks to perform in year 2.

Still, the Titans seem like the worst fit for Hopkins of all of the teams he has been linked to.

Hopkins has appeared to be looking for 2 things in his next team. He wants to play for a contender and he wants a chance to post big numbers. The Titans might not be able to offer either of those things.

They finished 7-10 last season in one of football’s worst divisions and went through some major O-line changes this offseason.

He would also be the clear top option in their passing game, but on a team that doesn’t throw much, that would still be a limited opportunity.

The Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots both appear to be better fits but it looks like sportsbooks think DeAndre Hopkins will be playing for the Tennessee Titans next season.
