Sports personality Skip Bayless has seen this story play out before given his Cowboys fandom, but it doesn’t lessen the sting. Dallas was blown to shreds by the Green Bay Packers in the opening round of the NFL Playoffs on Sunday.

His social media following watched him melt down online as his team’s deficit continued to grow in AT&T Stadium.

It was downhill from the start for Bayless, as well as every other supporter of America’s team watching along over the weekend. The Packers struck first, going up 7-0 on an Aaron Jones touchdown run.

A Dak Prescott interception followed, and the Cowboys were down two scores in the blink of an eye.

From there, it would only get worse.

Jordan Love connected with Dontayvion Wicks for another Packers TD before Prescott was picked again, the second of which was returned 64 yards to make the score 27-0.

The first half display had Jerry Jones disgusted, a feeling that was shared by Bayless.

His X feed was filled with commentary as he spiraled downward with every passing moment.

Skip Bayless has online meltdown watching Cowboys

“GET RID OF DAK PRESCOTT. ENOUGH OF THE SUFFERING. HE WAS A 4TH-ROUNDER FOR A REASON,” he continued. “HE’S NOW 2-5 IN THE PLAYOFFS. BIG-MOMENT LOSER. NOT A DALLAS COWBOY QUARTERBACK.”

It would get worse before it got better.

Green Bay’s dominance continued in the second half as they got up by as many as 32 points in the fourth quarter. A few late scores from the Cowboys made the outcome seem a bit more respectable, but the final result was still deflating.

It got so bad that Bayless began actively rooting against his team in hopes that it would lead to a change at the helm.

“I am now rooting for the Packers. I seriously want this to be 55-10, so Jerry will be forced to clean house,” he wrote, calling for Mike McCarthy’s job.

A complete meltdown from the sports show host, who should be used to it by now.

“THIS HAS BECOME THE MOST HUMILIATING PLAYOFF LOSS IN DALLAS COWBOYS HISTORY. WE WERE 7.5-POINT FAVORITES, WITH THE 2 SEED AND THE NO. 1 OFFENSE AND A DEFENSE THAT LED THE LEAGUE IN PRESSURES.”

We’ve heard Bayless say he’s “done” with Dallas in the past, but this might be the loss that finally pushes him over the edge.

Dallas would lose 48-32, falling to 1-3 in the playoffs under Mike McCarthy. Someone should probably schedule a wellness check for Bayless after another brutal postseason defeat.
