It Sounds Like Skip Bayless Will Be Even More Outspoken, Honest And Annoying At Fox Sports 1

Guys, if you thought that Skip Bayless was a heartless troll who said things to instigate debate while with ESPN, then you’re REALLY going to hate him now that he’s at Fox Sports 1.

Talking with The Hollywood Reporter, Bayless said that he’s actually going to be even more “honest” in his opinions, and believes that he was held back on certain issues while with the Worldwide Leader.

Per The Hollywood Reporter:

Skip Bayless says his move to Fox Sports 1 – with a new daily program that is set to bow Sept. 6 – will allow him to remove the “handcuffs” he’s been compelled to wear at ESPN, where he hosted the popular ESPN2 program First Take with Stephen A. Smith.

“Too many people in charge at ESPN, for my taste, were a little too fearful,” Bayless tells The Hollywood Reporter in an interview officially revealing his move. “It’s a Disney network. There are just certain boundaries that you can’t even tiptoe along. Not that we won’t have boundaries at Fox, because we will. [But] they will trust me to go a little deeper. I can be completely honest on everything.”

So, as hard as it might be to imagine Bayless’ “act” could be more ear-bleeding as it was before, he’s going to be more passionate about topics with Fox.

Skip also added this:

“I’m not suggesting I’m going to become some sort of shock jock because that’s not me,” he adds. “I say what I say because I believe it from the bottom of my soul and I can back it up. Now I feel like I can be completely honest heart-and-soul with full support from the people above me.”

With his new show set to debut on September 6th, it’ll be interesting to see just how close to the proverbial line that Skip Bayless will go—because it sure sounds like he’s going to get right up on that shit and give us all more of a reason to hate on him.
