SlamBall is back and anybody who watched it back in the early 2000s got a taste of nostalgia over the weekend.

The high-flying concoction of basketball and football combined actually received plenty of attention in its first week back.

However, one game went viral after two coaches nearly came to blows over an apparent hard foul on the court.

You can see one player on the trampoline clearly shaken up while a commotion goes on around him. The two coaches got into each other’s faces and had to be separated by everybody.

But what makes this clip great might be the announcers, as they seemingly were wanting a fight to break out.

Here’s the clip shared by the official SlamBall Twitter account.

Luckily, it didn’t get violent and it doesn’t appear anybody was thrown out of the game.

Regardless, plenty of SlamBall fans loved seeing the fire this sport brings to the TV. I mean, it’s not everyday you see people flying well above the rim and dunk on each other over and over again. Not to mention the body checks are fun as well.

I mean, just check out this back and forth play by the Wrath and Rumble.

But it’s pretty rare to see two coaches going at it, no matter the sport. Perhaps SlamBall could benefit from allowing fights to happen similar to hockey.

However, that’s neither here nor there. Maybe we’ll continue seeing the fire in this league as the season progresses.

Games have been scheduled throughout this weekend. It will pick back up again on July 27th on ESPN 2 and ESPN+.
