PGA Tour golfer Tom Kim nearly missed his Sunday morning tee time at the Genesis Invitational in Los Angeles, sparking a hysterical response from viewers online. One of those following along was Golf Channel personality Smylie Kaufman, who posted his take on the situation to X.

Kim was set to start his final round at 8AM local time at the iconic Riviera Country Club. He’d barely make that slot, but not without a bit of hustle.

Videos of the golfer frantically sprinting throughout the grounds quickly surfaced on social media.

Followers were quick to offer reaction to the viral moment, posting comments in the reply section.

“In N Out strikes again…”

“Not the best day to wear white pants!”

One of the funnier reactions came from Golf Channel personality Smylie Kaufman.

“This is the run of someone that could have easily ordered the cold turkey and cheese before the round but opted in for the hot and grilled version,” the announcer wrote. “It’s a tough decision but undoubtedly the correct one.”

It’s not the first time we’ve seen a tee time issue on Tour this season.

Just last week, Lucas Glover missed his slot altogether after misreading a text sent to his phone. He’d have to pull out of the tournament thereafter.

“I’m kicking myself but laughing at myself at the same time,” he said after the withdrawal.

Tom Kim made his tee time but only by the skin of his teeth!

He’d play well on Sunday despite the late arrival, shooting two-under par on the round. That was good enough to put him at -5 for the tournament, though he still remains far from the top of the leaderboard.
