A Soccer Fan Was Killed by a Flying Toilet Bowl in Brazil

Let us pause today to remember the life of Paulo Ricardo Gomes da Silva, a Brazilian soccer fan who was killed by a toilet.

According to an unnamed source within the Recife, Brazil police department, da Silva was killed on Friday while watching Santa Cruz play Parana at Arruda Stadium. Angry fans of the rival team had removed toilet bowls from stadium restrooms and begun throwing them into the stands; da Silva was unfortunate enough to take one toilet bowl to the dome.

No arrests were made. The World Cup starts in 37 days!
