WNBA star Sophie Cunningham came out firing in her new podcast.
On Thursday, Cunningham announced she was starting a new podcast with basketball trainer Drew Hanlen, apparently ditching her old podcast host, West Wilson.
Sophie Cunningham has parted ways with her podcast cohost, high school best friend West Wilson, in favor of a new show on The Volume with trainer Drew Hanlen.
A source told FOS the change had been planned “for months,” with a desire for a more basketball-focused show.

Cunningham’s podcast launched after the announcement, and in it, she fired shots at WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert, who is set to retire after this season.
According to Cunningham, Engelbert was “weird” and not a communicator.
“Under previous people who were leading, we would be in the same room with each other… we wouldn’t even say hi, and there would only be like five people in the room. Is that not weird or awkward? Just be friendly, just be a human,”
The Indiana Fever star made her pitch to become the WNBA commissioner.
“Honestly, the more I think about that, I think I should be the commissioner. I think I could get this on the right track,” Cunningham said. “The first thing I would do is make sure that every team legit has a functional practice facility.“
“There are teams in the WNBA, which we are the best league in the entire world, that there are people that are practicing in YMCAs. They’re sharing a court by a curtain when there’s like YMCA youth camps going on on one side, and a team practicing on the other”
