A South Carolina Gamecocks fan went viral during the team’s trip to Neyland Stadium on Saturday night. The SC supporter was detained in the stands with his pants down around his ankles.

The image of the fan in handcuffs was the perfect summation of South Carolina’s loss to Tennessee as the team was also caught with its pants down on a number of big plays.

The Gamecocks came to Knoxville looking for a second straight win over the Vols following last season’s surprising 63-38 upset. Tennessee wasn’t going to allow a repeat performance.

The Vols locked down the South Carolina offense, taming Spencer Rattler and Co. for most of the night. UT used some explosive plays to break the game open, including a 42-yard touchdown run to get the scoring started and a pick-six just before halftime to go up two touchdowns.

When all was said and done, Tennessee left with a 41-20 win to improve to 4-1 on the year. South Carolina fell to 2-3 while suffering its second SEC loss.

Things didn’t go according to plan on the field, and from the looks of it, not much went right in the stands either.

One particular South Carolina fan went viral after being photographed in his underwear while sporting handcuffs. The image is making the rounds on social media, summing up the feeling that most Gamecocks are having after the loss.

Fans were quick to comment.

“I’m sorry, I thought this was America,” one follower quipped, a reference to the popular South Park scene.

“It just means more,” said another.

Tough night for the Gamecocks on and off the field.
