As Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs gear up for their repeat bid against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers, they are favored by -3.5 points on BetMGM as of January 29. - $110,000 to win $100,000 on Kansas City -3.5 (-110)
However, the biggest Super Bowl LV bet came in on Thursday night backing the underdogs. A bettor in Nevada placed a massive $2.3 million wager on the Tampa Bay +3.5 (-115) with the BetMGM mobile sportsbook.
“This was a bet we were very happy to receive,” said Jason Scott, VP Trading, BetMGM. “BetMGM had previously written several six figure bets all on the Chiefs and the public is certainly behind Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes. This big Buccaneers bet has helped balance our book.”
If the Buccaneers cover the spread against the Chiefs, the bet would pay out a net $2 million.
