Sports World Mourns The Passing Of Legendary Rally Car Driver Ken Block After Snowmobile Crash

Ken Block was a revolutionary in the world of motorsports in the United States.

The Rally Car driver and YouTube star was known worldwide not only for his ability behind the wheel but also for his remarkable charisma.

Sadly, Block passed away on Monday at the age of 55 following a snowmobile accident.

Police pronounced him dead at the scene according to a report from ABC News.

The Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office said it received a call about an accident in the Mill Hollow area at about 2 p.m. local time.

“The driver, Kenneth Block, [a] 55-year-old male out of Park City, Utah, was riding a snowmobile on a steep slope when the snowmobile upended, landing on top of him. He was pronounced deceased at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement posted to Facebook. – via ABC News

It didn’t take long for the tributes to come pouring in from far and wide. NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano was one of the first to weigh in.

While fellow Monster Energy driver Kurt Busch also sent out a tribute.

But it didn’t take long for others to quickly follow.
