Over the course of his NFL career, Amon-Ra St Brown has likely gotten the chance to play in front of some disappointing crowds.

He has spent the first 2 years of his career playing for the Detroit Lions, who won just 3 games during his rookie season.

Despite the struggles of his team that likely led to some smaller turnouts for games, he believes it is actually another team in the NFC North that has the NFL’s worst fan base.

St Brown told The 33rd Team that he believes the Chicago Bears have football’s worst fanbase because of their demeanor at the NFL Draft, where he announced one of the Lions’ picks.

“Worst fanbase ever. Like this (heads down), on their phones. Just tired. You see the Lions next to them. Just turnt, lit,” St. Brown said. “They were standing up and you guys were sitting down. That tells me everything.”

It feels like Chicago Bears fans can be excused if they aren’t the most enthusiastic supporters in the NFL right now. They have gone through some rough years.

The Bears are rarely a fun team to watch as a franchise that tends to build around defense. They have been particularly tough to watch in recent years after winning just 6 games 2 seasons ago and 3 games in 2022.

In the midst of their struggles, they have made changes at head coach and GM.

As they do every year, Bears fans will have the chance to prove ARSB wrong when the Lions come to town in 2023.

Expect Bears fans to be particularly hostile toward Amon-Ra St Brown when the Lions make their visit to soldier field next season. They should certainly be more engaged than the way he described them at the draft.
