Salty Steelers Fans Are Calling James Harrison ‘Kevin Durant’ For Signing With The Patriots

Last week, the Pittsburgh Steelers cut veteran linebacker James Harrison after he complained about receiving lack of playing time this year.

The Steelers cut linebacker James Harrison on Saturday. They needed the roster spot to active offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert off the reserve/suspended list.

The franchise sack leader had seen his playing time diminish. He saw the field for only 40 defensive snaps in five games this season. He made one sack and three tackles.

Harrison complained about his lack of playing time earlier this month, saying he would not have re-signed with the Steelers if he had known he wouldn’t play.

After not being claimed off waivers earlier the week, Harrison went on to sign with the Steelers’ hated AFC rivals, the New England Patriots.

The New England Patriots signed former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison to a one-year deal Tuesday, a source told ESPN’s Field Yates.

The Patriots released linebacker Trevor Reilly to create a roster spot for Harrison, a source told ESPN.

Harrison went on to post an Instagram pic with Tom Brady that seemed to piss the hell out of Steelers nation.

Steelers fans are now comparing Harrison with NBA star Kevin Durant, who switched teams in an attempt to win a championship ring.
