Steelers Player Exploits NFL Rule To Get Penalty On Ravens During Kickoff Return

ESPN

Steelers kickoff returner Godwin Igwebuike pulled off an amazing heads-up play during Saturday’s game.

In the first half of the Steelers-Ravens game, the Ravens kicked the ball off, and the ball landed near the sideline at the five-yard line.

Igwebuike then placed his feet out of bounds before touching the ball, which led to a penalty on the Ravens, and the Steelers getting the ball at the 40-yard line.

Some fans complained that the rule is unfair and should be changed.

“WOW they need to change that rule yesterday. Baltimore kicks it close to the sideline. Pitt player touches it while laying out of bounds n Pitt gets the ball at the 40? Cause it’s a penalty on Baltimore. WTF is that” said one fan.

“The @NFL needs to change that rule on kick offs. You should be down where you step out of bounds. Sad rule that needs to change” commented another fan.

Whatever fans think of the rule it was still an extremely smart play by Igwebuike to get the penalty on the Ravens.
