In a recent interview on linebacker Von Miller’s podcast ‘Voncas,’ Buffalo Bills star wide receiver Stefon Diggs made headlines by claiming he could play cornerback in the NFL.
Diggs boldly stated that if he were to switch positions from wide receiver to cornerback, he believes he would be among the top 5 cornerbacks in the league.
Diggs also mentioned his versatility, saying that he could also excel as a safety in the NFL.
He emphasized that success in these positions hinges on having exceptional ball skills, agile footwork, and the ability to move effectively on the field.
Diggs added that confidence stems from watching his brother, Trevon Diggs, who is a standout cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys.
During the interview, Stefon Diggs provided a list of the top six cornerbacks in the NFL. While he did not assign specific rankings, he presented the names in the following order:
- Trevon Diggs – Dallas Cowboys
- Darius Slay – Philadelphia Eagles
- Patrick Surtain – Denver Broncos
- Xavien Howard – Miami Dolphins
- Jaire Alexander – Green Bay Packers
- Marshon Lattimore – New Orleans Saints
