Steph Curry and Sabrina Ionescu both had an impressive weekend.

The Golden State Warriors star won the American Century Celebrity Golf Tournament while the New York Liberty star broke a record during the WNBA All-Star break.

Both are rather impressive, but when asked if he’d rather win a golf tournament or a three-point contest, Curry couldn’t help but challenge Ionescu on the spot.

Here he is on ESPN talking about it.

I might have to agree with Steph Curry on this one, as Sabrina Ionescu broke a three-point contest record not seen in any basketball league before.

She recorded 37 out of 40 total points in a single round, blowing Curry and Tyrese Haliburton’s previous record of 31 points out of the water.

The Warriors’ superstar hasn’t competed since 2021, so it sounds like Ionescu may have pulled him back into the three-point contest for the 2023-24 season.

We’re still quite a ways from that, so hopefully Curry steps up to the plate.

At the very least, Sabrina Ionescu is down for the challenge.

Either way, basketball fans are excited at the idea of having the NBA’s best three-point shooter potentially being back in the three-point contest.

The best athletes in the world always find a way to put a chip on their shoulder.

What if Curry puts up 40 points?

Sounds like a good idea to me. Make it happen, Adam Silver!

At the end of the day, this is just great publicity for the sport of basketball. Especially for the WNBA.

With that said, can we get a head-to-head three-point competition between Steph Curry and Sabrina Ionescu? Who says no?
