Following the release of the Michael Jordan-focused docuseries The Last Dance back in 2020, there’s been a boom in the production of sports docs, perhaps best evidenced by Netflix churning out series such as Drive To Survive, Break Point, Full Swing, and Quarterback.
The latest high-profile sports doc set to hit the pop cultural zeitgeist will be hailing from AppleTV+ and will detail the career of the two-time MVP and four-time NBA champion Steph Curry.
What makes this documentary particularly interesting, though, is that it hails from A24, which is one of the hottest studios on the planet right now coming off Everything Everywhere All At Once winning Best Picture at the Academy Awards.
It’s certainly interesting that a doc about Curry is coming out this year, though, considering the fact that he’s still an active player in the NBA. There’s also the fact that NBA icons such as Kobe Bryant and LeBron James are still waiting to get the documentary treatment, too. Perhaps it should come as no surprise, then, that Curry’s production company Unanimous Media was one of the producers of the documentary film.

Now 35 years old and the record-holder for most 3-pointers in NBA history, the question is now isn’t whether or not Curry is an all-time great but rather just how high he ranks in the pantheon of NBA players.
