Stephen A. Smith Rants About The Nature Of Aaron Rodgers’ Farts

With NFL training camps set to begin in just a few weeks, the media noise surrounding Aaron Rodgers will only grow over the coming months, which is particularly shocking given how much the pair have dominated headlines since linking up in April.

One pundit that’s certainly going to get their money’s worth when it comes to squeezing content juice out of Rodgers and the Jets is First Take host Stephen A. Smith, who has long referred to Aaron Rodgers as a “bad man.”

Earlier this week, for example, football fans got a taste of what they can expect from Stephen A. for the rest of the NFL season as the ESPN star went on a rant so absurd that he eventually mentions Rodgers’ farts as one of his talking points.

“That is the most asinine take that you have given since you have arrived here,” Smith said to Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo regarding his opinion on Rodgers.

“New York’s got a lot going on. But if there was ever an individual that was in a position to be a godlike figure in the world of sports, it would be Aaron Rodgers.

“Because you got to take into account the purgatory that has been the New York Jets for ages. This dude pass gas, they’ll think it’s perfume. What are you talking about? It makes no sense, what you’re saying!”

Smith, who’s from New York, is certainly just one of many NFL fans in the area that’s hyped about the arrival of Rodgers, who is expected to turn around the famously poor fortune of the New York Jets.

As he mentions in the video, the franchise hasn’t made the playoffs since 2010 and hasn’t won the AFC East in 20 years.

While Rodgers is expected to make the Jets a Super Bowl contender — currently, only the Chiefs, Eagles, 49ers, Bills, Bengals, and Cowboys have better odds than they do — they also aren’t even expected to win their own division.

Rodgers and the Jets will open their season with a Monday Night Football matchup at home against Josh Allen and the Bills on September 11.
