Stephen A. Smith Destroys Jimmy Garoppolo In Wild Rant, Refers To His Dating History

On Tuesday, new Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo threw some major shade at his former team, the San Francisco 49ers, over how they (mis)handled their quarterback situation.

Garoppolo, in fairness, was asked specifically what he thought of the mess that has been created in San Francisco at the QB position.

He tried to deflect when SI Now reporter Robin Lundberg asked him straight out, “How do you think San Francisco has handled those quarterback situations?”

“How do you think they’ve handled them?” Garoppolo replied with a big chuckle.

To which Lundberg responded, “I think it’s been messy, I’ll put it that way.”

“Yeah, that’s a nice way to put it,” Garoppolo said in return.

While yes, it was definitely shade, it wasn’t like Jimmy G came right out and slammed the 49ers. In fact, had he not been asked about the situation he probably wouldn’t have said anything.

That’s no excuse, according to Stephen A. Smith, who went OFF on Garoppolo on Wednesday during First Take.

“My perspective is Jimmy Garoppolo needs to shut the hell up. Just shut up and play. Okay?” Smith when Garoppolo’s comments were brought up on the show. “Nobody wanna her from you.”

At that point, Kimberley Martin brought up, “He was asked the question though. Jimmy Garoppolo was asked point blank ‘what do you think of the situation?'”

“No, no, no, no,” Smith interrupted. “Been a lot of ‘weird situations’ over there. I’m going by what he said. … It’s the words that he chose.

“First of all, let’s understand who Jimmy Garoppolo is,” Smith continued. “He’s a damn good quarterback when he’s playing, but it’s rare that he plays. He spends more time in an infirmary than on a football field, some would argue. Okay, if he ain’t doing that, he’s with p*** stars on Melrose Place in California.”

“That happened one time,” Martin interjected, referring to Jimmy G’s date with Kiara Mia in 2018.

“Okay, I’ll tell you right there, that you know of,” Smith shot back. “I happen to know a little bit more than that. That’s why I call him p*** star Jimmy.”

And on and on his rant went.

The looks on both Dan Orlovsky and Kimberley Martin’s faces at this point were priceless.
