San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, as all NFL fans well knows by now, went out on a date recently with adult film star Kiara Mia – a date he now calls a “good learning experience.” Seriously. That’s what he said.
After taking Kiara out for dinner to Avra restaurant in Beverly Hills last week, the San Francisco media was quick to ask him about the date today at 49ers training camp. Jimmy G’s answer was way better than Bill Belichick’s was in New England.
“Life is different now,” Garoppolo explained to the media. “My life off the field, I’ve never been very public with things. Even social media, I’m not out there a ton. But my life’s looked at differently. I’m under a microscope and, like Kyle [Shanahan] said, it’s a good learning experience. You just have to take it in stride. It is what it is.”
It is… what it is. Words to live by from a man with more money and more confidence than pretty much all of us will ever hope to have.

As for his coach, the aforementioned Kyle Shanahan, he acted like he had no idea what the media was talking about when the date was mentioned.
“I never heard about any of those articles,” said Shanahan before acquiescing. “Jimmy came from a place where he saw a lot of people handle that spotlight. So I think Jimmy does have an idea and everyone has an idea in how to handle it. But not everyone is in that spotlight.
“I’ve never in my life commented on a player’s date in July, so I won’t start today,” added Shanahan. “Because I don’t think it really matters to us.”
Kiara Mia, for her part, is very supportive of Garoppolo, even if she has already moved on, saying, “I can promise the 49ers that they will make the Super Bowl and win because everything I touch turns to gold.”
