My girlfriend has recently suckered me into enjoying reality television. Must be some sort of Jedi mind trick because I feel bamboozled. Six months ago I hadn’t watched an episode of reality TV since I was a New Jersey teenager watching Jersey Shore. Now here I am all caught up on the latest episodes of Love Is Blind and Summer House. Bear with me, this all has to do with an article about Stephen A. Smith and Chris “Mad Dog” Russo”, I promise.
The other night, my girlfriend and I were laying on the couch watching Summer House when she explained to me that there was a spin-off called Winter House that crossed that series over with Southern Charm. I, being the giant nerd I truly am, immediately related that information to comic books, telling her that’s known as a crossover event and that comics have been doing it for decades.
Well, it would appear ESPN has found their version of an Infinity War/Winter House level crossover event, as New York sports talk radio legend Mad Dog Russo has begun joining Stephen A. on the Wednesday episodes of First Take. Naturally, absolute hot takery fireworks ensure.
Ok. I’m gonna need it to be Stephen A vs Mad Dog all the time. Mad Dog said Dak not top 10 QB – they challenge him to name 10 better

I’m gonna lose so many followers every Wednesday tweeting these clips, but I don’t care. I never knew I needed Stephen A vs Chris Russo this much. Dodgers vs Lakers just turned into WrestleMania. pic.twitter.com/3zRmAdW7qa

You really have got to hand it to Stephen A. as First Take has undoubtedly become a more entertaining show ever since he gave Max Kellerman the boot back in September to adopt a more rotating-cast-of-characters style show, which has seen the hit ESPN program feature the likes of Dan Orlovsky, Mina Kimes, Tim Tebow, Kendrick Perkins, Michael Irvin, and now, Mad Dog Russo, who was famously the co-host of WFAN’s Mike and the Mad Dog from 1989 to 2008.
