Yesterday we brought you the “shocking news” that Bill Goldberg claimed “Stone Cold” Steve Austin didn’t really drink all those beers every night in the ring while performing for the WWE.
I know… do you need a minute to let that sink in?
Anyway, as they do, TMZ caught up with Austin and asked him about Goldberg’s accusations.
His response? “[Goldberg] is full of shit.”
“There have been many times I left the ring and had a pretty good buzz. And, if you go back and see Bill again, ask him because Bill is not a drinker. And so I got him drunk in the ring a few times.”
Austin did admit that about 50% of the beer ended up somewhere other than down his throat, but perhaps this will lead to a reunion in the ring? Yeah, no. There’s a better chance of Steve Austin playing quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys than that ever happening.
