N.C. State Football Coach Dave Doeren Calls Out Steve Smith, Tells Him To ‘Kiss His A–‘ After Disrespect

North Carolina State head football coach Dave Doeren did not appreciate what Steve Smith Sr. had to say about his program and university. The 51-year-old told the 44-year-old former NFL wide receiver to “kiss his a–.”

It all started on Saturday morning with College GameDay. Smith, a University of Utah alumnus, was the guest picker in Salt Lake City.

As the desk ran through its college football picks for the weekend, the Wolfpack was on the wrong end of some disrespect. Steve Smith chose Clemson to win the game with some not-so-nice words.

Clemson has been struggling. They’re not the Clemson that we’ve loved over the years. But N.C. State, unfortunately, they’re waiting for basketball to start.

Doeren was either watching the show live, or had somebody show him the clip. He saw it. He heard it.

N.C. State ultimately went on to beat Dabo Swinney and the Tigers by seven. The Wolfpack moved to 5-3 on the year while the vanquished moved to 4-4.

As Doeren spoke to the sideline reporter during his postgame interview, he took aim right at Smith.

Tell Steve Smith in the studio— this ain’t a basketball school. He can kiss my a–.

At that point, Doeren walked it off and moved away from the microphone. Mic drop!

To make the entire thing even funnier, the game between Clemson and N.C. State aired on the CW Network. Smith is most certainly not an analyst for the CW Network.

Doeren got things mixed up (because why is an ACC football game airing on the CW), but he made his point! North Carolina State University is not a basketball school. Kiss his butt, Steve Smith Sr.!
