Steve Smith Finally Addresses What Happened With Broncos Jerry Jeudy

Former NFL star-turned-analyst Steve Smith is finally addressing the whole Broncos Jerry Jeudy drama that took place a couple of weeks ago.

It all started when Smith, on his podcast, criticized Jeudy’s performance this season, dubbing him a “JAG” aka, Just Another Guy.

Things really heated up between them after Smith tried to have a chat with Jeudy before the Chiefs-Broncos game in Week 6, while the Broncos were at Kansas City for Thursday Night Football.

Apparently, Jeudy wasn’t in the mood to hear Smith out after his critique. Smith claims he attempted to apologize, but Jeudy allegedly fired back with a racial slur told him: “I don’t mess with you.”

Smith didn’t let that slide and took to the NFL Network to roast Jeudy, saying, “Don’t bother trading for Jerry Jeudy, because he can’t handle a little constructive criticism from folks who actually watch football. Can he even be a wide receiver? He’s a tier three, folks.”

Jeudy told media after the game: “Back where I come from, if someone talks smack about you, you don’t just stroll up to them and pretend to be best buddies.”

Fast forward to an interview on The Pat McAfee Show on Friady, and Steve Smith is singing a different tune. He apologized for his harsh words and the public spat with the Broncos wideout.

“It’s not about taking back my words; it’s about the choice of words I used. They clearly didn’t sit well with him, and that’s more important than anything else.”

Smith added, “If you’re gonna talk about a man, you’ve gotta be willing to look that man in the eye and say what you mean. I apologize for how I said it, what I said, and the fact that it didn’t sit well.”

The Broncos are getting ready to face the 6-1 Chiefs in Week 8 and hopefully Jeudy moved past this.
