Steven Adams is warning sports fans about the release of GTA VI
Longtime NBA center Steven Adams has long been considered one of the league’s “realest” players, and his latest warning about what sports fans should expect from professional athletes this November is no different.
Speaking at the Houston Rockets’ media day this week, Steven Adams warned that when Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19 after years of delays, pro athletes — or the coaches evaluating them — aren’t going to handle the release well.

Adams predicted a league-wide dip in performance across the NBA, NFL, and beyond once GTA VI drops, with coaches and scouts also suffering the consequences.
“I will say, you guys should anticipate November, the performance of the league, league-wide… GTA is dropping,” Adams said. “So look at the NFL, look at all the leagues and watch them plummet, mate.”
“The coaching and scouts are gonna be horrendous, mate. Just for November, but it should bounce back in December, hopefully.”

GTA VI is arguably the most anticipated video game of all time, as the second trailer racked up a record-setting 475 million views in its first 24 hours.
Rockstar’s last entry, Grand Theft Auto V, came out in 2013, meaning hype for its successor has been building for over a decade.
Adams, 33 years old, is entering his thirteenth season in the NBA and his third with the Houston Rockets. Last season, Adams appeared in 32 games for the Rockets and averaged 5.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.
