Watch The Strongest High School Football Player In The Nation Squat A Bar-Bending 1,050 Pounds

The man you see with the legs the size of Redwoods is Joseph Pena, a senior at the Holy Cross of San Antonio. Pena is the strongest high school football player in the country. In the video above, the 6-foot, 340-pounder is squatting a bar-bending 1,050 pounds as an 18-year-old kid. This isn’t the first time Pena has wowed the internet with his Herculean strength, a video of him squatting 727 pounds at the 2014 USA Powerlifting Association Raw Nationals in Aurora, Colo. went viral a few years back. He was 15.

Joseph’s strength even caught the eye of the former World’s Strongest Man Bill Kazmaier:

“He’s got a vision. He’s following his path. What a great thing for us to be around, to enjoy.”

Just a casual 755 for 5.

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
