Suge Knight, who was infamously driving the car that rapper Tupac Shakur was shot and killed in, has added a new theory about his death into the fray. According to Knight, Tupac did, in fact, die, and was later put into a blunt and smoked by his loved ones.
Tupac Shakur died on September 13, 1996 and he was shot four time in a drive‑by shooting at Flamingo Road and Koval Lane in Las Vegas six days earlier on September 7.
For decades, no one was charged with Tupac’s murder. That changed in 2023, however, as Duane “Keefe D” Davis — the uncle of suspected shooter Orlando Anderson — was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Davis pled not guilty and the trial was delayed to February 9, 2026 earlier this year.
“According to Knight, some of Shakur’s closest friends and family rolled the rapper’s cremated ashes into a blunt — and smoked it.”
“’I was so happy to say I was on probation — I couldn’t smoke,’ Knight says. “I told his mother, ‘Moms, I’d love to, but if I hit that, I’ll get in trouble.’” He laughs. “I was probably the only one who didn’t hit him.” [via People]
Knight is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for a fatal hit-and-run in 2015 at the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego, California.
