A reddit user who’s grown famous for the wrong reason is making headlines once again. This football fan has made 15 consecutive Super Bowl picks resulting in 15 straight losses.
These are money line picks. No spreads, just winners and losers. Or in his case, just losers. And he’s now put the bad juju on another unsuspecting victim as Super Bowl Sunday approaches.
It seems impossible to do, but this user has the receipts. It all started back in 2008 with one of the NFL’s biggest Big Game upsets.
Eli Manning’s fifth-seeded Giants strolled out of Super Bowl XLII with a 17-14 win over an undefeated Patriots’ squad. That game saw the famous David Tyree “helmet catch” in the final minutes to set up the game winning score.
“It all started with me putting a ton of money on the 18-0 Patriots to beat the Giants. Ever since then, I’ve lost more money than I can count betting Super Bowl money lines.”
Last year, he picked the Bengals. The year before, the Chiefs. And so on, and so forth.
Each season he’s posted his Super Bowl picks in a reddit thread, and this year is no different. That’s obviously a bad omen for one side.
The 2023 prediction is in, and he’s rolling with the Eagles. Here’s his thought behind the pick (cliff notes).

In my eyes, this is one of the most lop-sided matchups in recent memory. Maybe the most lop-sided since the 18-0 Patriots played the 10-6 Giants. And I know what you’re thinking, the Giants won that game. Well, yes, they did. And that’s why….
I predict that the PHILADELPHIA EAGLES will win the Super Bowl… This game is a no brainer. Do Not Overthink It. Bet the better team.
He plans to “win back a sizable portion” of losses from past years with this latest Super Bowl pick, which he seems to consider a lock.
Will the streak end in 2023 with an Eagles win or will the pain continue for yet another season?
