Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon found himself in the news (again) for the all the wrong reasons earlier this week.

Mixon, who only recently faced criminal menacing charges for allegedly waving a gun at a woman, had police called to his house on Tuesday after reports of shots fired from inside the house.

Pro Football Talk’s Michael David Smith reported that deputies initially left without recording an arrest.

Sheriff’s Deputies in Hamilton County, Ohio, entered the home of Bengals running back Joe Mixon early Tuesday morning after responding to a “shots fired” call, but no arrests were made.

Fox 19 in Cincinnati reports that a juvenile was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The report says deputies initially responded to a report of shots fired at about 8:30 p.m. on Monday. During the night, deputies put crime scene tape around the house. At about 11:30 p.m., deputies were seen banging on Mixon’s door and telling the homeowner to come out. At about 1:30 a.m., a law enforcement officer arrived with an envelope of documents, and shortly after deputies entered the house and were seen searching with flashlights. The crime scene tape was taken down around 3:20 a.m. and deputies left without making an arrest.

A neighbor later told reporters that the shots were fired at teens who were using NERF guns outside the house. Now it appears that police have named a suspect in the shooting.

Joe Mixon’s Sister Named Suspect In Shooting At Bengals’ Star’s House

TMZ reports that Mixon’s sister, Shalonda, as well as one other man have been named suspects in the case.

Police say in the docs a black Honda Accord was spotted leaving Joe Mixon’s home just after the shooting. An ensuing police stop, cops say, revealed 34-year-old Shalonda Mixon and a 34-year-old man named Lamonte Brewer were the occupants of the vehicle. Reports did not state whether Mixon was home at the time. Police also did not arrest anyone or file charges that this point.

Mixon has not commented on the situation publicly.
