Taylor Swift fans, AKA the Swifties, are very, very upset over some old, misogynistic and un-PC tweets her current boyfriend Travis Kelce posted many years ago.

Some of them were already angry at him for some comments Kelce made on his and his brother Jason’s New Heights podcast in February when he jokingly referred to women as “breeders.”

Now, in a surprising twist, they have dug up some of Travis Kelce’s tweets from 2010 and 2011 when he was around 21-years-old that they don’t like.

No, it’s not surprising that they did that. It’s surprising that those tweets weren’t wiped from his account the minute he signed a NFL contract in 2013 or at any point since.

The tweets, which are now going viral on Reddit, are causing one of two responses. Either it’s a nothing burger because the tweets, while pretty vile today, were made by a kid still in college – in the years of 2010 and 2011 when the world was a very different place, or people want his head on a platter.

For instance, one of them, dated April 7, 2010, reads, “As a man, You have something wrong with you if your [sic] going for girls that weigh more then [sic] you.”

Many people were more offended by his horrific grammar than the tweet itself, but not everybody.

“Haha I just caught myself judging every person that walked past me, whether they were ugly, fat, funny looking, sexy haha I’m trippin,” another tweet from May 12, 2010 read.

In another tweet, Kelce replied to someone, “they slow as hell cuz there [sic] parents have been talkin to them like they were retarded since they were babies.”

That one drew significant ire from the commenters.

Then there was the one where Travis Kelce tweeted, “haha when fat people fall, its [sic] like slow motion entertainment, cuz they never JUST fall, they always tumble n gradually hit the deck #comedy.”

He also made some comments about the Clippers cheerleaders that people didn’t appreciate on Jan. 10, 2010.

“damn the clippers girls gotta be the s—-girls that don’t make the lakers girls team, cuz they was all ugly,” Kelce tweeted.

There was also a tweet in which Kelce wrote, “i gotta get outta here, its [sic] too weak!!! im getting attacked by ugly girls.”

The tweets have all now been deleted, but they are still visible on Google search.

“I feel like this is being too generous, you don’t need to be ‘the most enlightened young man online in 2010’ to not be rude or make fun of how people look,” one of the more reasonable comments on Reddit read. “I was alive in 2010 and don’t remember it being okay then either. Obviously nothing will happen to him or their relationship because of this, but it gives me the ick, as the kids say, lol.”

“I wasn’t even thinking things like this at the same age in the 90’s. It’s not about being ‘enlightened’ it’s about not being an a– hole,” read another one of the over 3,300 comments.

It will certainly be interesting to see if Travis Kelce issues an apology for the tweets or if he just waits for it to blow over.
