People Are Seriously Suggesting The NFL Rigged The Jets-Chiefs Game For Taylor Swift

The NFL is a cultural behemoth, and with that comes a lot of people spouting off a lot of bad takes on the internet each week. And, international pop superstar Taylor Swift showing up to Chiefs’ games to watch her love interest, Travis Kelce, has truly melted the brains of some of the league’s fans.

Some of them are even suggesting that after a few controversial calls at the end of the Bears-Chiefs game on Sunday Night Football, the NFL rigged the game for the Chiefs for Taylor Swift. Kansas City held off a charge by the Jets, 23-20.

First off, the referees did indeed have some rough moments down the stretch. A clear hold on Jawaan Taylor was ignored by the officials on this crucial scramble for a first down by Patrick Mahomes

Then, this defensive holding penalty once again extended the Chiefs’s final drive of the game. And, this one could go either way, to be honest.

Yikes. Patrick Mahomes really got bailed out by that one. The Chiefs would end up running out the clock following another scramble by Mahomes where he slid down inside the two yard line to seal the game.

But, Twitter is ablaze with takes that the NFL rigged the game for Taylor Swift. Why would they do this? Nobody knows. There’s certainly no logic behind a take like this. And while some people are saying it tongue-in-cheek, some are being dead serious.

“Wait…are we watching an NFL game being rigged in real time because of Taylor Swift? That was one of the worst calls i’ve ever seen,” @Rayswag_ said.

I implore these people to stop watching this league if they think it is rigged. They will be much happier. In the meantime, the Chiefs are 2-0 since Taylor Swift started showing up to their games.
